Mr. Armstrong Goes to the Movies

I see the polls. I understand what will probably occur tomorrow. I have hope that perhaps the McCain/Palin ticket will still somehow come out on top, but it does not look too promising at this point. So, it seems that I will do what I normally do when politics depresses me. I will pull out my DVD copy of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" and try to renew some hope in our polictial process. The picture is easily in my top five list of best films and although I have seen it countless times I still enjoy its message. The fillibuster scene is one of the greatest moments in cinema. If you are struggling with our current state of affairs, maybe you should find some time to view the film. I don't think you'll be disappointed. In the meantime, pray for our leaders and for God to preserve His word in our country.

Now that sounds like a good plan. I just have two questions, though...when will you be starting the movie, and how long do you think it would take for me to drive to your house?

With the good Lord willing, maybe we can survive the next 4 years.
I got up about 3:30 this morning and turned on the TV and guess what movie was on. Yep, Mr Smith goes to Washington. Great movie and it eased the pain a little.
See you Thanksgiving, hopefully. Say hi to Summer and Ethan.
Love you...Pawpaw.
