A Baby Girl Born in Beaumont

The above photo is taken from the hospital room window and was the view given to us. We were far too busy to notice the skyline however because our view was on the girl in the photos below. It is now Sunday and both Summer and Abigail are resting fine. We made the trip home on Friday and I will hopefully post some of those pictures Monday afternoon. Until then, here are a few photos from our stay at the hospital. Have a great day!

This is me preparing for this morning's sermon while holding Abigail.

The Birth of Our Baby

Well, I had placed a hold on all postings to prepare for Abigail's birth, and that day arrived yesterday. She was born at 1:00 p.m. on March 24. Her weight is 7lbs and & 7 oz. Her length is 19 and 1/2 inches. She is healthy and doing well. We appreciate all the prayers and look forward to introducing her to everyone. I attached a few pictures, but will hopefully add some more in the coming days. Mom is resting well. The above photo is of Abigail right after she came out and the pictures below are of her after being cleaned up and enjoying time with mom and brother.

Date Nights

Ever since Summer and I were married we made a commitment to not let go of date nights. After the birth of Ethan we saw the importance of these evenings even more. For Summer and I to go out and spend some time alone cultivating our relationship is a great way to strengthen the health of our marriage. Last night was one of our date nights. We had a great time enjoying dinner at the Texas Road House and then spent some time walking around. Usually we end with coffee or some Italian ice cream at Rao's Bakery, but time ran out and we went to pick up Ethan to go home and prepare for Sunday. I thank the Lord for such a great evening with my lovely wife!
