Where I Am Right Now

Summer is supposed to be a time where one can relax in the sun and take in the breeze of the Gulf Coast. After all, do we not call these weeks the lazy days of summer? I don't know who coined that term but clearly they did not have kids or much of an agenda. It has been busy. Really busy. But also good. Really good. Currently, I am putting the final touches on the fall calendar at church and the Lord has blessed with growth and warm fellowship this summer. I had the pleasure of baptizing eight individuals who have made professions of faith and still have six more individuals waiting to be baptized. On the home front, Abigail is now approaching five months and has captured my heart. Ethan is truly my little helper and I delight that he follows me everywhere I go. This Friday, I will get to take Summer on our first date night in a while and am looking forward to cherishing her in that time. When time allows I do get some relaxation. I am currently working through two books - James MacDonald's Lord, Change My Attitude and Moody's Manners and Customs of Bible Times. I am currently listening to Sojourn Community Church's Over the Grave: The Hymns of Isaac Watts. In my Bible study I am in the gospel of Mark. I hope that your summer has been as blessed as mine for the fall colors should be here by the time we turn around. I look forward to those months as well.
